Questions
Every calculator uses the rates and formulas published by the ATO, and each figure is checked against the official source before release. They produce estimates for guidance, your final assessment comes from the ATO once your return is lodged.
The Australian financial year runs 1 July to 30 June. If you are lodging a return now you most likely want 2025-26, which ended on 30 June 2026. If you are checking your current pay, choose 2026-27. The rates differ between the two, so it is worth getting right.
No. Every calculation runs entirely inside your own browser. Nothing you type is sent to our servers, saved to a database, or shared with anyone. There is no sign-up and no email required.
Yes. The income tax and tax return calculators include the 2% Medicare levy (with the low-income reduction), the low income tax offset, and compulsory HELP or student loan repayments where they apply. You can switch each one off if it does not apply to you.
Yes. The multi-year calculator covers 2020-21 through to 2026-27, using the exact brackets, offsets and levy thresholds that applied in each year, including LMITO for the years it existed, and the change to HELP repayments from 2025-26.
