  1. Scope: Our Ask-Accountant email support is limited to providing general tax advice and personal tax advice specifically for your sole trader business based on the data available on the TaxLeopard platform.
  2. Exclusions: We do not provide advice for other business entities you may own or consider potential dividends, distributions, or any other forms of external income.
  3. Response Time: We aim to respond to your queries within 24-48 hours.
  4. Limitations: We do not assist with:
    • Accountants’ letters.
    • Verification of income.
    • Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss advice for government payments.
    • Accountant Letters for Loans
    • Business structure advice.
    • Business growth strategies.
    • Tax Minimisation Advice
Tax Minimisation Advice
  1. Legality: All tax minimisation strategies provided are fully compliant with Australian tax laws and ATO regulations.
  2. Scope: Advice is specific to your sole trader business and does not include other business entities or personal income sources.
  3. Implementation: The effectiveness of tax minimisation strategies depends on accurate and complete information provided by you.
  4. Exclusions: We do not engage in or recommend any tax avoidance schemes or illegal activities.
  5. Review and Adjustment: Tax minimisation advice is based on current laws and may require adjustments if regulations change.
Pay Less Tax Policy – Tax Returns
  1. MAXIMISING DEDUCTIONS We will review and look for ways to maximise your deductions, so you pay less tax.
  2. EXTRA DEDUCTIONS: If we find extra deductions for you, we’ve helped you pay less tax.
  3. Information Requirement: You must supply all necessary information in the TaxLeopard platform for us to help you pay less tax.
  4. ATO COMPLIANCE: Deductions must be ATO-compliant.
  5. OVERSTATED EXPENSES: Overstated expenses are not covered by this policy.
  6. EXCLUDED SALARY: Excluded salary is not included in this policy.
  7. LEGAL DEDUCTIONS: All deductions must be legal and within ATO regulations.
  8. COMPLETE INFORMATION: You must share all relevant information relating to your sole trader business on the TaxLeopard platform.
  9. REDUCING GST PAYABLE: If you have GST payable on your BAS and we reduce the amount payable, we’ve helped you pay less tax.
  10. INCREASING GST REFUND: If you have a GST refund on your BAS and we increase the amount refundable, we’ve helped you pay less tax.
  11. ATO COMPLIANCE: Deductions must be ATO-compliant
  12. ELIGIBILITY: If our advice does not help you reduce your GST or tax liabilities for the year, you may be eligible for a refund on the fees paid for the tax return service.
  13. CONDITIONS:
    • The guarantee applies only if you have followed our advice and recommendations fully.
    • We can only legally claim what is permitted by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).
    • If you’ve overstated your expenses or understated your income, resulting in higher tax payments after correction, this is excluded from the money-back guarantee.
    • We do not engage in or recommend any tax avoidance schemes or illegal activities.
    • Deductions must be ATO-compliant.
    • If we find extra deductions for you, it means we’ve helped you pay less tax.
    • If you exclude any salary or enter overstated expenses, this does not apply to the guarantee.
    • Your Business Profile in the TaxLeopard must be complete.
    • When GST payable on your BAS is reduced through our advice on the TaxLeopard platform, we’ve helped you pay less tax.
    • If we’ve helped you pay less tax throughout the year through your BAS lodgements, this information falls into your tax return and therefore means we’ve helped you pay less.
Money-Back Guarantee
  1. Eligibility:
    • Refund on service only applies to tax return service fee.
    • You must be on a Pro Plan subscription for a minimum of 3 months.
    • If our advice does not help you reduce your GST or tax liabilities for the year, you may be eligible for a refund on the fees paid for the tax return service.
  2. Conditions:
    • The guarantee applies only if you have followed our advice and recommendations fully.
    • We can only legally claim what is permitted by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).

  3. Refund Process: To request a refund, please contact our support team with details of your claim. Refunds will be processed after a thorough review of your tax situation and adherence to our advice. You must provide evidence of how we didn’t help you pay less tax to support@taxleopard.freshdesk.com. We could take up to 7 days to review and provide you with an answer.
  4. Record Keeping and Compliance
    • Record Accuracy: Ensure all information uploaded to the TaxLeopard platform is accurate and up-to-date. The quality of our advice depends on the accuracy of the records you provide.
    • Document Retention: Keep all relevant financial records and documents for the required period as stipulated by the ATO.
    • Compliance: You are responsible for ensuring that your tax returns and financial records comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
  5. General Conditions
    • Sole Trader Focus: Our services are designed exclusively for sole traders. We do not cover other business types or personal income not related to your sole trader activities.
    • Accuracy of Information: The advice provided is based on the information you have uploaded to the TaxLeopard platform. It is your responsibility to ensure all information is accurate and up-to-date.
    • Legal Compliance: Our advice complies with current tax laws and regulations. We do not engage in or recommend any illegal tax avoidance schemes.
    • Documentation: We only review your sole trader business. We don’t factor in any other income sources from companies, dividends, shares, employment income, etc.
